MOMO-C contributes to the dialogue on sustainable aviation
The MOMO-C team participated in this year’s Battle of Powers at Twente Airport, hosted in a strikingly modern event location inside an F-16 hangar. The event brought together around 50–60 experts from the battery, hydrogen and aviation sectors, creating an inspiring cross-border environment for technical exchange.
Throughout the day, discussions focused on the future of energy carriers, infrastructure requirements and the realistic timelines needed to introduce innovations in and around airports. A central conclusion emerged: no single energy carrier will solve all challenges. Instead, a well-balanced mix of technologies will be essential - considering maturity levels, scalability and deployment horizons.
It also became clear that the path to CO₂-neutral aviation spans multiple interconnected dimensions. These include grid connection and energy supply, airport logistics, ground vehicles, aircraft and drones, as well as service processes across the entire aviation ecosystem.
