Interreg Germany-Netherlands

Supporting the innovative, green, social and citizen-centred further development of the German-Dutch border region.

The regions along the borders are the connecting links within the European Union. Nowhere else is the significance of breaking through national state boundaries through European integration more visible. In order to interconnect the border regions even better, the EU has created a special funding programme: Interreg.

As part of the 2021-2027 cohesion policy, four priorities (areas with thematic objectives) have been defined in the Interreg VI Germany-Netherlands programme to promote economic growth, employment, social integration and better cooperation in the border region:

1.  A more innovative programme area
2. A greener programme area
3. Working together on a connected border region
4. A more citizen-centred Europe in the border region
