European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual Brussels-based event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union Cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The European Week of Regions and Cities is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and the European Committee of the Regions.

The EURegionsWeek will celebrate its 23rd edition from 13 to 15 October 2025 in Brussels, under the motto “Shaping Tomorrow, Together”.

Once again, regions and cities from all over Europe and beyond come together in a unique networking environment. Political representatives, regional and local authorities, policy experts, academia, civil society, private sector, and many more will meet in Brussels to share knowledge and good practice, discuss policies, and shape future trends.

Thousands of onsite and online participants take part in an extensive programme including a high-level opening session, workshops, interactive sessions, a prize honouring young aspiring journalists, the #Cohesion Alliance event, the REGIOSTARS awards ceremony celebrating outstanding regional projects across the EU, exhibition areas with stands and tastings and much more!

Participation in the event is free of charge.
