Unique Dutch-German Technology & Innovation Collaboration on the Way to an International Brand
On Tuesday, 17 December 2024, representatives from science and business in the Netherlands and Germany met in the House of the Netherlands in Münster to strengthen existing cooperation and explore new avenues. The event, held as part of the TECH.LAND initiative, once again highlighted that cross-border exchange is the key to innovation and sustainable success.
Experts from both countries discussed ways to improve collaboration between science and business:
- Andreas Krawczik (Remondis) – Recycling management
- Simon Lux (Professor of Battery Research, University of Münster) – Energy supply of the future
- Hans Brouwers – Manager of the TECH.LAND program
- Dorothee Feller – Minister of Education for North Rhine-Westphalia
Following an engaging keynote by Gert-Jan Hospers (Visiting Professor of Economic Relations at the Centre for Netherlands Studies) on TECH.LAND and the upcoming TECH.LAND Monitor, a panel discussion took place. The discussion, expertly moderated by Jürgen Wannhof (Chairman of the ZNS Support Organization and Vice Director of the Sparkassenverband Westfalen-Lippe), was both insightful and thought-provoking.
The evening concluded with a video message from Nathanael Liminski (Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs, and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia), emphasizing the importance of cross-border cooperation and the need to further intensify such efforts through initiatives like TECH.LAND.
From the circular economy to future energy solutions, the shared goal is to connect companies and research institutions across borders to drive progress in the region. It was an inspiring evening filled with innovative ideas and valuable networking opportunities!
Special thanks to Jacco Pekkelder, Director of the "Zentrum für Niederlande-Studien" (ZNS), for organizing this inspiring and impactful event with the TECH.LAND initiative as its central theme.
