DeepTech Canada visits TECH.LAND

Innovation knows no borders, and that philosophy became reality when representatives of DeepTech Canada visitedCeNTech and the University of Münster. During the meeting, Hans Brouwers and Elke Wirtz (Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH) had the honor of presenting the official TECH.LAND Passports as a symbol for partnership, shared values, and a joint vision for the future of technology.

Shared Mission: Connecting Research, Technology, and Industry

Both TECH.LAND and DeepTech Canada pursue the same goal: to connect research, technology, and industry on an international level and to create solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.
The collaboration focuses on nanotechnology, quantum technology, imaging, AI, and battery research: Fields where European and Canadian expertise perfectly complement each other.

Next Step: Strengthening Transatlantic Collaboration

In the coming months, the partners plan to deepen their relationship and explore opportunities within EU funding programs, such as Horizon Europe. The shared aim: to develop a strategic transatlantic partnership that enables co-innovation and knowledge exchange.

As Pierre Kennepohl (University of Calgary) put it:

“I love TECH.LAND and the idea to turn borders into connections, because it goes 100% in line with our philosophy of international collaboration as key to success.”

Building the Future – Together Across Borders

The meeting marks another milestone in TECH.LAND’s mission to connect innovation ecosystems across continents. With initiatives like these, Münster continues to strengthen its role as a European hub for DeepTech and international collaboration. Thank you to everybody, who made this a day full of exchange and futureorientied ideas!
