TECH.LAND in INN*terregio

On March 25, the time had finally come: more than 80 companies and startups from the #EUREGIO region gathered to celebrate the release event of the third edition of the German-Dutch magazine INN*terregio. During the event, Hans Brouwers presented the TECH.LAND program and emphasized that, in a very short time, we have successfully established TECH.LAND as a recognized initiative on regional, national, and international levels.

We are particularly proud to be part of German-Dutch magazine INN*terregio (pages 26-33) and to have the opportunity to present TECH.LAND. As part of this feature, Fritz Jaeckel (Director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce North Westphalia), Victor-Jan Leurs (Director of Twente Board), and Hans Brouwers (Program Manager TECH.LAND) were invited for an interview. In this discussion, the strength of the triple-helix program was highlighted, along with insights into current developments. Victor-Jan Leurs highlighted that TECH.LAND is not just about talking but about taking action, effectively establishing itself as a gateway to the rest of Europe. Dr. Fritz Jaeckel also underlined the potential of TECH.LAND, stating, "In our cross-border region, we have the capability to manufacture everything ourselves—whether in robotics, defense technology, or chip production. (…) Twente and the German border region are becoming the center of a global revolution in photonics."

Our program and the strong collaboration within the #EUREGIO region clearly show that we are on the right track in expanding our network and strengthening our cooperation for the future.
