TECH.LAND and Deep Tech Canada Sign Strategic MoU

At Hannover Messe, TECH.LAND and Deep Tech Canada formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step in strengthening transatlantic innovation collaboration between Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.

This partnership builds on the early efforts of our TECH.LAND partners, the University of Twente and Universität Münster, who played a key role in establishing strong links with Canada’s research and innovation ecosystem. Throughout 2025, these connections became increasingly concrete, supported by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation. A central role in shaping and finalizing the cooperation was played by Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH, which coordinated the process, aligned stakeholders, and significantly contributed to the successful signing at Hannover Messe.

As Hans Brouwers highlighted, the unique value of this partnership lies in its truly transatlantic nature, bringing together three partner countries with the shared goal of transforming collaboration into concrete business opportunities and long-term innovation impact.
For the TECH.LAND area, the MoU with Deep Tech Canada creates direct access to the Canadian market, strengthens structured transatlantic collaboration, and opens new opportunities through international funding programmes such as Horizon Europe.
