TECH.LAND Accelerator: From Münsterland to the Euregio – A New Phase for Scaling Startups

The Digital Hub münsterLAND Accelerator is entering an exciting new chapter. With €1.2 million in funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE), the program will launch in November 2025 under a new name: the TECH.LAND Accelerator

This funding marks the next phase of our mission: to support technology-driven B2B startups in the scaling stage, strengthen regional collaborations, and expand our reach across the Euregio.

Building on a Proven Track Record

Since 2017, the Digital Hub münsterLAND Accelerator has guided more than 50 startups on their growth journey, many of them emerging from regional universities.
With the TECH.LAND Accelerator, we continue that success story from Münsterland into the Euregio and beyond.

Existing partnerships with REACH, R-Factory, Novel-T, and other startup organizations will be intensified, creating even stronger connections for founders seeking growth, mentorship, and market access.

A New Label, a Broader Vision

The accelerator program now aligns with the TECH.LAND initiative, launched by IHK Nord Westfalen, Twente Board, Oost NL, and numerous partners from business, academia, and public institutions.TECH.LAND stands for cross-border collaboration between the Münsterland, the Emscher-Lippe region, and the Eastern Netherlands under the guiding principle: “Transforming Borders into Connections.”

“The technological focus of the TECH.LAND initiative fits perfectly with our accelerator’s mission. Appearing under a shared label sends a strong signal to the outside world.”
— Dr. Volker Meise, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Digital Hub münsterLAND e.V.

This partnership strengthens the Euregio’s visibility as a hub for innovation and technology-driven growth.

Focus Areas: Scaling, B2B Tech, and EnergyTech

The TECH.LAND Accelerator continues to focus on startups with technology-based B2B business models, while expanding into new areas such as EnergyTech. A key component is the Energy Startup Network, which connects founders with the Fraunhofer Research Facility for Battery Cell Production (FFB) and the Battery City Münster innovation cluster. By combining growth support, corporate partnerships, and access to leading research and innovation hubs, TECH.LAND provides startups with the tools to scale faster, smarter, and across borders.

Part of a Strong Startup Ecosystem

Alongside the Digital Hub münsterLAND, hubs in Aachen, Bonn, Düsseldorf, and Cologne are also funded under the state’s hub initiative. Anthropia in Duisburg serves as a specialized hub for social impact startups, completing a network that supports tech-driven and socially conscious founders throughout NRW. Through these collaborations, the TECH.LAND Accelerator strengthens its role as a central growth partner for startups in Münsterland, the Euregio, and beyond.

What’s Next

The first TECH.LAND Accelerator program begins in November 2025. Startups can look forward to a program that combines scaling support, corporate collaboration, EnergyTech focus, and cross-border connections.
