Innovation Night - The best ideas for a clean future
Energy, mobility, sustainability and digitization: in all of these areas there are challenges that need to be addressed with a view to a clean future. The creative potential that can arise from close cooperation between students and one of the region's largest employers can be experienced at the Innovation Night on July 4th.
The REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center of the University and FH Münster, together with its innovation partner, the Westfalen Group, invites you to an evening full of innovation, creativity, exchange, pitches and panel discussions in the Westfalen Forum.
"For 1.5 months, over 40 students and Westfalen employees have been working intensively on new ideas for questions and topics that concern us as a company in the areas of energy, mobility and chemistry. At the Innovation Night, the ideas will now be presented to the public for the first time. We are really excited to see what the teams have come up with," says jury member Dr. Meike Schäffler, Board Member for Production, IT and Innovation at the Westfalen Group. In addition to the short presentations of the ideas, the participants can look forward to a high-caliber panel with, among others, Oliver Große Gehling, CTO and founder of Filibri, an app for mobile payment of the refueling process directly at the pump.
"Filibri is a perfect example of how a start-up has developed from a good idea. We have also been preparing the participants for the start-up process for 6 weeks. It will be all the more exciting to hear the ideas and their innovation potential on July 4th," says jury member Professor Dr. Thorsten Wiesel, scientific director, REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center. Professor Dr. Elmar Brügging, an expert in environmental technology and hydrogen system technology, among other things, brings another practice-oriented perspective from the Münster University of Applied Sciences to the jury. "We look forward to all guests who want to take a look at what a joint innovation process between companies and the start-up ecosystem looks like. This year is the start and next year we want to develop this further together with Westfalen AG and several partners from the region," says Wiesel.
The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Westfalen AG forum, Industrieweg 43. Registration is required at: https://evis.events/event/462/
Participation is free. After the program, participants can look forward to time for networking over drinks and food, as well as a finale with live music. Everyone is invited, from students to interested parties to company representatives.
