Founding Assembly of R-Factory

The R-Factory eG officially launched on Friday!

At the invitation of seven universities (University of Münster, FH Münster, University of Osnabrück, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Twente), around 40 representatives from academia, business, and the innovation ecosystem gathered for the founding assembly. Among the first founding members were EUREGIO, 2G Energy AG, Digital Hub münsterLAND, EW Group GmbH, Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH, WFO Wirtschaftsförderung Osnabrück GmbH, FH Münster, University of Münster, Atruvia AG, LVM Versicherung, [whyit] GmbH, Volksbank im Münsterland eG, IHK Nord Westfalen, and many more.

A strong statement for cross-border collaboration!

The R-Factory is the first initiative since the founding of EUREGIO in 1958 to be established under a joint Dutch-German legal framework. They will work closely with local stakeholders within the DUTCH-GERMAN TECH.LAND network to scale start-ups post-incubation and foster valuable relationships between start-ups and established companies. The goal is to close gaps in the start-up journey while leveraging regional strengths. Background

R-Factory is currently one of 14 candidates in the conceptual phase of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action's "Startup Factories" competition. The top 10 regional innovation lighthouse projects will have the opportunity to receive up to €10 million in funding.
