BASF Coatings: New Small Can Filling & Packaging (SCFP) lines officially open in Münster
BASF Coatings is marking a significant milestone: the official opening of their new Small Can Filling & Packaging (SCFP) lines in Münster on June 28th.
This state-of-the-art facility, one of their largest recent investments, demonstrates their dedication to #AdvancedManufacturing and #Automation. The SCFP lines transform their refinish coatings production, enhancing efficiency and flexibility.
Why is this such a big deal? 🤔
The Münster site is a key hub for #RefinishCoatings, now handling more than 20,000 cans daily for global distribution. The new automated systems cater to a wide range of container sizes, setting new industry standards.
The numbers speak for themselves: 4 million cans per year, 10.5 thousand tons, and 30 different can types ranging from 0.25 to 5 litres.
BASF Coatings' new SCFP lines boast a high degree of process automation #Industry40, best-in-class machinery, and SHE conformity. This investment aligns with their strategy to optimize production through automation, supporting innovative repair coatings and premium automotive refinish brands such as Glasurit #Series100.
